Description
A genuine Unplated Zinc Cent Type 1 Blank Mint Error Coin. Weighs 2.5 grams. Blanks are flat metal discs punched out from large metal coils which are later struck with engraved dies to make coins. Before that final step these blanks are put through various processes such as Annealing and Upsetting, the later which forms a raised rim. Type 1 blanks such as these are formed prior to the Upsetting process and do not feature a raised rim.
