DC & US Territories Quarter (2009)

The U.S. Mint followed its popular Statehood quarter program in 2009 by releasing six new quarters with reverse designs honoring the District of Columbia and the five U.S. territories of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands. Like the Statehood quarters before them, each new issue bore John Flanagan’s modified Washington portrait obverse design.
