This historic commemorative silver dollar bears a unique obverse by John Mercanti that features not one, but two portraits of Dwight D. Eisenhower. Facing left is an image of "Ike" as America's 5-star general and World War II hero, with a right-facing portrait of him as America's popular 34th president in the foreground. The reverse, designed by Marcel Jovine, shows the Eisenhower home at Gettysburg (a national site).
