A genuine 1936 Daniel Boone Bicentennial Commemorative Silver Half Dollar Coin, graded and certified MS 63 by ANACS. Contains 90% Silver

 

This 90% silver half dollar was struck to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Daniel Boone's birth. The obverse bears a left-facing portrait of the legendary frontiersman. The reverse depicts Boone holding a musket and a map of Kentucky as he meets with Blackfish, a war chief of the Shawnee tribe. The date of issue is below. Coins minted 1935-1938 also bear 1934 pioneer date at the right.
