This historic coin commemorates the bicentennial of the U.S. Congress. The obverse, designed by Patricia L. Verani, shows a detailed bust of the Statue of Freedom that adorns the Capitol dome. William Woodward designed the reverse, which depicts the Capitol Building accented by a unique "wreath" of 13 stars.
