Designed by Christian Gobrecht, this classic 90% silver quarter features Liberty seated on a rock surrounded by 13 stars. Her left hand holds a liberty cap atop a pole; her right, a shield inscribed LIBERTY. The reverse depicts an eagle on an olive branch holding three arrows.
