This official coin set from the U.S. Mint contains three 1983 Los Angeles Olympiad Discus Thrower Commemorative Silver Dollars, one from each mint that produced them, Philadelpha, Denver and San Francisco. Each coin comes in Uncirculated condition and contains .900 fine silver. Comes with the original government packaging.
This historic silver dollar was issued to commemorate the 1984 Summer Olympic Games held in Los Angeles, California. Designed by Elizabeth Jones, its obverse bears a representation of the traditional Greek discus thrower. The reverse depicts the head and upper body of a proud American eagle.
