A genuine 1956 D/D FS-508 (FS-022) Lincoln Wheat Cent Penny Coin, graded and certified MS 64 RD by NGC. The FS-022 featured on this slab is an old Cherry Pickers code that has sinced been replaced with the code FS-508. The variety is the same.
Lincoln cents with the original Wheat Ears reverse were introduced in 1909 on the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth and were struck until 1958. These bronze cents were the first circulating U.S. coins to depict an actual person.
