This scarce copper Braided Hair half cent was struck over 150 years ago. It bears Christian Gobrecht's classic design. The obverse depicts Liberty wearing a diadem, her long hair in a bun held by beaded cords. The reverse shows HALF CENTS surrounded by a wreath and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
