Exploring America’s Parks & Landmarks
There’s nothing quite like an American road trip — long stretches of open highway, dramatic changes in scenery, and unforgettable stops along the way. That same spirit of exploration inspired one of the most ambitious circulating coin programs in U.S. history.
From 2010 through 2021, the United States Mint issued a nationwide quarter series dedicated to honoring America’s national parks, protected landscapes, and historic sites. Spanning all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories, the program transformed everyday quarters into tributes to the places that define the nation’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Each design represents a specific site and location, carefully selected for its historical, environmental, or cultural significance. For collectors, these quarters are more than individual releases — together, they form a connected journey across forests, deserts, mountains, islands, and landmarks that tell the story of America’s landscape.
This National Park Week, we invite you to experience that journey through coinage.
Begin a cross‑country journey through American quarter designs.
