The reverse displays the Corps' mottoes "SEMPER FIDELIS" and "ALWAYS FAITHFUL, ALWAYS LOYAL" along with the shout-out of "OOH RAH!". A fitting tribute to past and present members of the U.S. Marines. Growing in popularity, challenge coins come from a long tradition that many say goes back to WWI, when commanders gave them to boost morale.
