This historic silver dollar commemorates the 100th anniversary of the dedication of America's beloved Statue of Liberty - and helped raise funds for its restoration. Designed by John Mercanti (whose heraldic eagle graces Silver American Eagles 1986-date), its obverse depicts the iconic statue in front of Ellis Island. The reverse shows Liberty's torch and the inscription GIVE ME YOUR TIRED, YOUR POOR, YOUR HUDDLED MASSES YEARNING TO BREATHE FREE.
