A genuine 2020 W Jefferson Nickel Reverse Proof Coin. Copper-Nickel composition. One of the first U.S. nickels to bear a "W" mintmark, this special edition reverse proof issue was originally included in the Silver Proof Set released by the mint that year, packaged separately in clear plastic wrap and an envelope.
Following the Westward Journey series, the U.S. Mint restored the traditional Monticello reverse. However, a new, forward-facing portrait by Jamie Franki graced the obverse - along with the word LIBERTY in script based on Jefferson's handwriting.
