This 2014 Uncirculated coin set from the Oglala Sioux Native American tribe includes 6 denominations featuring reverse images honoring the American Buffalo, which were selected in a design contest among contemporary Sioux artists - a bison skull on the 1 cent coin, female with calves on the 5 cent, tribal headdress surrounded by running buffalo on the 10 cent, hunter on a horse on the 25 cent, buffalo scout on the 50 cent, and a Sioux chief on the $1 coin. The common obverse displays the Oglala Sioux flag with teepees representing the 8 reservation districts. Comes sealed in an attractive display card. The Oglala are recognized as a sovereign nation by the U.S. Government and legally authorized to produce its own commemorative coins.
