A genuine 1945 S Jefferson Nickel Coin, graded and certified MS 67 by NGC. Contains 35% Silver. A fragment of a World War II Era U.S. Military Static-Line Parachute has been embedded in the NGC label.
Unlike traditional Jefferson nickels, this historic coin was struck in a special alloy of 35% silver to save nickel for the World War II effort. Like all silver wartime nickels, it bears a larger mint mark on the reverse above Monticello's dome.
