A genuine 1923 Westphalia 1 Trillion Marks coin, in VF Very Fine Condition. This large, nickel-brass coin is 60 mm in diameter, weighs 83.9 grams, and shows a bust of Baron vom Stein on the reverse. Notgeld of the Province Westphalia, this "emergency money" or "necessity money" was issued during the hyperinflation crisis of the Weimar Republic in 1923 following World War I. The lettering on the coin shows "1 Billion Marks", which in German means 1,000,000,000,000 or 1 Trillion.
