Description

A genuine 1921 Pilgrim Tercentenary Commemorative Silver Half Dollar Coin, in XF EF Extremely Fine Condition. Contains 90% Silver

This historic 90% silver half dollar commemorated the 300th anniversary of the Pilgrims' landing at Plymouth, Massachusetts. The obverse depicts William Bradford - who governed Plymouth Colony for 30 years - holding a Bible. The reverse shows the Mayflower at sea. Most Pilgrim half dollars were issued in 1920 with no date on the obverse. Less than 12% were struck in 1921, with the date left of the portrait. All bear the dual date 1620-1920 on the reverse.
