This special Bicentennial dollar was struck to celebrate the 200th anniversary of America’s founding. Its obverse depicts 34th President Dwight D. Eisenhower and the dual date 1776-1976. On the reverse, the Liberty Bell is superimposed over the moon, with E PLURIBUS UNUM to the right. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR encircle the reverse.
