These 2009 Native American dollars are missing the date, mint mark, and motto E PLURIBUS UNUM which usually appear on the edge of the coin.
This historic Native American dollar is from America’s third “golden dollar” series. Its obverse depicts Lewis & Clark’s guide Sacagawea and her infant son, Jean Baptiste. The one-year-only reverse honors Native Americans and their contributions. Inscribed along the edge are the date of issue, mint mark and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
