Designed by George Klauba, the inspiring obverse shows the faces of an airman, sailor and soldier in the foreground, with a large "V" for victory behind and a B-17 bomber flying above. Bill J. Leftwich’s detailed reverse depicts a Pacific Islands battle scene.
